All the rest of my personal favorites.

  • So, last but not least, I have the last of my all time favorite remedies explained.

First off, we all know how much we need our greens to be healthy. . . Sadly, we either don't have the time, or we just often don't like eating many cups of salads a day.
Enter, my first star of the day:

  • Chlorophyll

"Chlorophyll is the remarkable substance to which we all owe our lives. This is because chlorophyll has the ability to capture the sun's energy and lock it into plants in such a way that we can use it to sustain our own lives.
Chemically, chlorophyll is almost identical to hemoglobin - the substance which transports oxygen from the Lungs to the tissues of the body. Out of about 50 atoms in the compound, only two are different. The benefits of chlorophyll fall into three main categories, purifying, anti-inflammatory, and renewal."
  1. Purifying: Chlorophyll has an anti-bacterial effect on wounds, and an anti-yeast effect in the digestive tract. It appears to counteract many toxins in the body.
  2. Inflammation: It has the effect of reducing inflammation. Thus it can be used to help counteract the effects of arthritis, stomach ulcers, bladder infections, sore throats, and other inflammatory conditions.
  3. Renewal: It builds blood - after all, it is almost identical to hemoglobin (see above); it helps promote intestinal flora, and assists Liver cleansing.
"It's usually easy to tell when a food has significant amounts of chlorophyll, because chlorophyll provides the green color that is found in grasses, leaves, and many of the vegetables that we eat. These plants and foods would not be green without their chlorophyll. All of the green vegetables in the World's Healthiest Foods - asparagus, bell peppers, broccoli, brussels sprouts, green cabbage, celery, collard greens, green beans, green peas, kale, leeks, green olives, parsley, romaine lettuce, sea vegetables, spinach, Swiss chard, and turnip greens are concentrated sources of chlorophyll.
Whenever a vegetable is cooked long enough to cause a change in color from bright green to olive-gray, we know that some of the chlorophyll in the vegetable have been lost. This color change is one of the reasons we have established the relatively short steaming times for green vegetables in the Healthiest Cooking techniques! Consumption of these green vegetables in raw form is also an excellent way to obtain the health benefits of chlorophyll."
    Taken from: http://www.alternative-healthzine.com/html/0500_2_3.html
So when we find our body with the tell tale signs that we have been not eating these raw or steamed veggies enough, (like bacteria or yeast overgrowth, inflammation, digestive issues or liver problems) we have two choices: we could buy a whole bunch of organic raw veggies, and grow wheat grass and juice them for at least a few months to catch up. Or we could take some liquid Chlorophyll. At times of detoxing or having a baby or when we are ill, we rarely have the energy or support of others who are willing to juice that much, even if we want to. So for me, I've often resorted to tasty bottles of Chlorophyll to mix in my milk or juice. I especially love the mint flavored in pineapple juice (Which is also good postpartum) or raw milk!
    Raw Honey

This is another yummy and easy remedy to take. It is even better mixed with things like honey suckle! Like the saying "Just a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down", I tend to use honey to help diced garlic go down or the like. But why would you take it besides just for the taste you ask? Well, let me tell you a little bit about it.
First off, most of the honey found in the supermarket is not raw honey but "commercial" regular honey, which has been pasteurized and filtered. When honey is heated, its delicate aromas, yeast and enzymes which are responsible for activating vitamins and minerals in the body system are partially or completely destroyed. Just as raw vegetables are preferable because of their nutritional content, the same is true of honey. In fact, pasteurized honey is equivalent to and just as unhealthy as eating refined sugar.

Honey contains ingredients similar to those found in fruits, which become alkaline in the digestive system. It doesn't ferment in the stomach though as most (or all) other foods. Raw honey is the healthiest choice of honey as it has the most nutritional value and contains amylase, an enzyme concentrated in flower pollen which helps predigest starchy foods. (Doesn't that just make you want some honeybutter with some cornbread? Yummy!)
So what are the benefits? Well, honey
  •  has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties.
  •  It promotes body and digestive health,
  •  is a powerful antioxidant,
  • strengthens the immune system,
  • eliminates allergies,
  • is an excellent remedy for skin wounds
  •  helps all types of infections.
  •  stabilizes blood pressure,
  •  balances sugar levels,
  •  relieves pain,
  •  calms nerves,
  • treats ulcers.
  • is an expectorant
  • instantly boosts performance,
  • boosts endurance and reduces muscle fatigue of athletes.
  •  possesses carcinogen-preventing properties
  • possesses anti-tumor properties,
  • functions as an anti-inflammatory agent, ( reducing both swelling and pain),
  • helps prevent scarring.
  • cures yeast infections,
  • cures athletes foot,
  • helps arthritis pain
  • helps cleanse and heal wounds, burns and cuts
  • helps soothe sore throats, can also kill certain bacteria that causes the infection.
  • helps you sleep, add 1 or 2 teaspoons of honey to a cup of chamomile tea and sip.

Now that you can see how great the raw honey is, you will be looking for it right? Unfortunately it can be a little confusing with honey comb, creamed honey and liquid honey all being available as raw. So with all the different types, which is best? Well, there is a good resource I've found online that will answer questions better then me; I just wanted to whet your mouth a little for the greatness of honey. Here it is:

  •  tea tree oil

My next star of the show is Tea tree oil.

Tea tree oil is Analgesic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiparasitic, antiseptic, antiviral, decongestant, deodorant, diaphoretic, expectorant, fungicidal, immune stimulant, insecticide, vulnerary. It could be lumped with many beneficial herbs, but it isn't technically a herb, is a relative of the eucalyptus tree, and thus quite strong smelling. Tea tree is native to Australia, where aborigines have long used its leaves to treat wounds and infections. It isn't to be confused with the tree that produces leaves for tea. Tea tree oil should always be used topically, and is not meant for consumption-consuming even small amounts of this substance may be fatal.( I had a baby amazingly guzzle some once, but he thankfully threw it up quickly, and acted normal after that.) So keep it away from children!

The benefits of Tea tree oil include:
  •  cures abscesses and acne,
  • helps heal blisters,
  • takes away warts,
  • cures thrush on mom, ( I wouldn't suggest it for in a baby's mouth as it tastes horrible and isn't safe)
  • cures vaginal yeast infections
  • cures fungal infections like athletes foot
  • relieves insect bites and stings,
  • helps heal sunburn and rashes
  • a bit on some cotton helps ear infections,
  • takes away cold sores,
  • helps immune system deficiencies and infectious illnesses,
  • cures tooth and gum infections, but only rinse with it. (I personally would rather use Hydrogen peroxide though.)
In a vaporizer it helps: bronchitis, Asthma, coughs, respiratory problems, sinusitis (sinus infection), congestion, whooping cough and the flu.

In a bath it helps: fever, UTI's, dandruff, fungal infections, vaginal infections, viral infections, candida, chicken pox, wounds and large surface burns.

Tea tree makes a great addition to most skin care products. A simple way to use it is adding the oil to aloe vera gel. Add a couple of drops to shampoo to treat dandruff, or mix with an equal amount of water for an astringent toner or anti-fungal.   Tea tree oil is an active ingredient in a number of commercial and homemade recipes for scrubs, soaps, washes, shampoos, lotions, and toners. However, some people find tea tree oil to be irritating to their skin. It has also been reported to worsen eczema, and to cause vaginal irritation in some women, due to an allergic reaction. So like with anything new to you, try it diluted and in an inconspicuous place first. A good place to buy herbs and stuff like this is here:http://www.mountainroseherbs.com
  • Himalayan salt

Salt, as it occurs in the Earth, is a necessary thing! Even the simplest processes in our body need salt, or its inherent elements. Every metabolic function of the body requires salt and water. It is a complex crystal containing eighty-four elements that are vital to life! These elements include hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, sodium, magnesium, silicum, chloride, calcium, titanium, chromium, manganese, iron, copper, zinc, selenium, zirconium, silver, iodine, platinum, gold, and many more.
These nutrients are the same elements originally found existing in the "primal ocean" where they theorize that all life originated, so it would then be logical that they are the same elements our bodies needs for good health. (And they are.)

In the past pregnant woman were told to restrict salt, and still those with pregnancy hypertension and edema are often still told to restrict it. Pregnancy increases progesterone. Progesterone increases the sodium content of urine, so more sodium than usual is lost by women during pregnancy. (Maybe that has something to do with the common salt cravings. . .)

We have known that pregnant cows need an added nutrient rich whole salt for hundreds of years or more, and yet we tell human mothers to restrict it! Why the confusion?

Well, when we started refining salt it became a toxic element! Many people are unaware that common table salt contains chemicals and even sugar! Salt in a processed form is dangerous!

Processing salt turns it into sodium chloride, an unnatural salt the human body actually sees as a toxic invader! Table Salt -- Industrial Sodium Chloride!

What is sold as table salt for us to eat is actually a product of industrial production.

About 93 percent of salt production worldwide is used directly for industrial purposes. It is essential to make products such as laundry detergent, varnish, plastics and other products.

For these industrial uses, chemical processes require pure sodium chloride. To obtain sodium chloride, all the essential minerals and trace elements are removed from natural salt and discarded as impurities. (Even sea salt in somewhat processed BTW.)

The body cannot dispose of sodium chloride in a natural, healthy way, so that leads to inflammation of the tissues, water retention and high blood pressure. Your body will use the water in your cells to neutralize the sodium chloride. One ounce of table salt retains seven pounds of water in the body! It draws moisture from our skin and dehydrates our bowel contents worsening digestion or even causing constipation. This can lead to cellulite, rheumatism, arthritis, gout, as well as kidney and gallbladder stones. Even the taste will irritate your tongue, cause excessive thirst, and actually make you crave more of it!

Our Bodies Contain a Living Sea, the same salty liquid as that of the "primal ocean"--a fluid consisting of water and salt. This flows through more than 56,000 miles of waterways and blood vessels, regulating and balancing the functions of our bodies.

To replenish this ocean, our bodies need natural salt. While our bodies require only 0.007 ounces of whole, natural salt per day (that's about 1/25th of a teaspoon), we could eat sodium chloride--with only two of the eighty-four essential elements--all day long and still be deficient of the nutrients we need from real salt. When we eat sodium chloride, it contains none of the nutrients our bodies need.

So in that way, nutrient-deficient sodium chloride makes our bodies crave real, natural salt! Craving the nutrients found in natural salt, we eat more and more sodium chloride, thinking that it will help, but it only sets up a vicious cycle that results in more and more cravings.
So, the more you salt your food, the saltier you want your food to be and the more likely you are to crave salty foods. It's a vicious cycle. People claim that there are many causes of craving salt, because a lot of things can cause you to need more (often because of excreting more), like:
  • Addison’s disease (decreased production of hormones by the adrenal glands)
  • dehydration (loss of body fluids and electrolytes, which can be life threatening when severe and untreated)
  • electrolyte imbalance
  • pregnancy
  • illness
  • mineral deficiency
  • adrenal exhaustion
In the end though, these are just signs and symptoms that

your really need a good salt!

The health benefits of using natural Himalayan Crystal Salt may include:
  • Controlling the water levels within the body, regulating them for proper functioning
  • Promoting stable pH balance in the cells, including the brain.
  • Encouraging excellent blood sugar health
  • Aiding in reducing the common signs of aging
  • Promoting cellular hydroelectric energy creation
  • Promoting the increased absorption capacities of food elements within the intestinal tract
  • Aiding vascular health
  • Supporting healthy respiratory function
  • Lowering incidence of sinus problems, and promoting over-all sinus health
  • Reducing muscle cramps
  • Increasing bone strength
  • Naturally promoting healthy sleep patterns
  • Creating a healthy libido
  • In combination with water, it is necessary for blood pressure regulation
  • Prevents cellulite, when compared to table salt
  • Reduces chances of developing rheumatism, arthritis and gout, when compared to common chemically-treated salt
  • Reduces chances of developing kidney and gall bladder stones when compared to common chemically-treated salt

 Use internally or externally
  • Rejuvenating
  •  Bathing,
  •  Replenishing the Skin,
  •  Drinking Therapy,
  •  Flavoring Food
Himalayan salt is Pure, Unpolluted, Without Environmental Impact,  and from a Time When the Earth Was Pristine. Contains no impurities from environmental pollution, is stone ground and hand Washed.    For further study on the subject, I recommend the book "Water and salt, the essence of life" By Dr. Barbara Hendel, M.D. & Peter Ferreira or watch a Dr Mercola video on it here:

Some more of my favorites remedies.

This is the second of my posts on my favorite remedies. I have seen all sorts of articles on all these separately, but I wanted to put them all together for those interested in healthy, cheap and "green" health remedies. The first of which is:

  • Activated charcoal (from coconut or Bamboo)
Activated charcoal internally is commonly used in emergency treatment for  poisonings and drug overdoses to keep the poison from being absorbed from the stomach into the body. Orally administered, these fine black granules have an amazing ability to extract and neutralize many more times their own weight in gases, heavy metals, toxins, poisons and other chemicals.  Charcoal is also used to cure gas/flatulence and help an upset stomach. A natural deodorant and disinfectant, Activated Charcoal is one of the finest absorptive and adsorptive agents known.

It is also a good external draw of poison from snake and spider bites as well as curing allergic reactions to bee or other insect stings when used as a wet poultice.

For more info I would recommend this book.

Warning: Charcoal can decrease your body's absorption of certain nutrients and also interfere with medications, sucking them up like any other poison in your system.  Charcoal also loses its effectiveness when mixed with chocolate syrup, ice cream, or sherbet.  Frequent use is not recommended.

  • Apple cider vinegar (Preferably raw and organic like Braggs)

Apple Cider Vinegar, that wonderful old-timers home remedy, cures more ailments than any other folk remedy. Apple Cider Vinegar has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral properties, and it balances the PH. Vinegar is not technically alkaline, but quite acidic, however, it, like fresh lemons, or even pickle juice,  has a very strong alkalysing effect on the body, meaning that it helps to get rid of the extra acidity in your body.  The reported cures from drinking Apple Cider Vinegar are numerous. They include: a cure for

  •  allergies (including pet, food and environmental),
  •  sinus infections,
  •  acne,
  •  high cholesterol,
  •  flu,
  • chronic fatigue,
  •  candida,
  •  acid reflux,
  •  UTI's,
  •  sore throats,
  • contact dermatitis,
  •  arthritis,
  •  gout
  • May help with joint pain and stiffness
  • Been used for centuries as a natural remedy for heartburn
  • Improves bowel irregularity and constipation.
  • Help breakdown fats, so your body can use them instead of store them.
  • Acts as a natural appetite suppressant
  • May help speed up your metabolism
  • May help lower blood glucose levels
  • Helps restore alkaline acid balance
  • Home remedy for dandruff and acne, taken externally
  •  It has also been reported that a daily dose of apple cider vinegar in water has high blood pressure under control in two weeks!

As a wonderful side effect of drinking apple cider vinegar every day, we've discovered that it brings a healthy, rosy glow to one's complexion.
For daily maintenance, acute sickness, weight loss and pH balancing, we now suggest the following:
2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar
8-16 ounces of water or apple juice, or hot water and raspberry tea
Taken in Raspberry tea or apple juice the ACV actually tastes pretty good.It is reported to be a little hard on the teeth if taken alone every day, but they say the baking soda offsets that.
Used with a bit of Baking soda, it is an ideal remedy to balance your ph, when you're sick and just overall a good remedy for health.  I would tend to be hesitant to take anything everyday for more then a few months, even though a lot of people do. So be forewarned, and cautious about any internal supplements.  Apple Cider Vinegar, or ACV is used to clean both inside and out of your body. It is helpful in many ways. Here's a site that gives 131 uses for vinegar  http://www.angelfire.com/cantina/homemaking/vinegar.html

There are benefits to all vinegars, but mostly the clear white is best for cleaning, the clear brown is a lower quality one for ingesting, and the Braggs type is one of the few that is pure and whole. It has many advantages to the cheap stuff. . .as usual, you get what you pay for.
  • Food grade Hydrogen peroxide/without stabilizers.

For years, hydrogen peroxide has been used externally as an antiseptic, and to help heal wounds. When you get the food grade stuff though, it is much more versatile! There are two methods of taking food grade hydrogen peroxide, orally and intravenously. Most medical conditions respond very well to oral ingestion of food grade hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy is also used as an alternative medical treatment for cancer. Hydrogen Peroxide is injected intravenously in very low concentrations (less than 1%) into the blood stream. The use of intravenous hydrogen peroxide was reported in 1920 during the influenza epidemic. Intravenous hydrogen peroxide infusion was used successfully used to treat pneumonia in the epidemic following World War I. Intravenous hydrogen peroxide cut the death rate of pneumonia in half. Food grade Hydrogen peroxide also purifies water in emergency situations or traveling to a foreign country. To read more about dosing for internal use, look to earthclinic.com for a lot of helpful info on it, and a lot of other natural remedies that have been tried by people worldwide. To find a doctor who will use it intravenously, and is near you, call (405) 478-4266 or write to The International Bio-Oxidative Medicine Foundation, P.O. Box 13205, Oklahoma City, OK 73113.
Some of the many uses for Hydrogen peroxide:

Bathing: To oxygenate the body to help overall health, energy, and to open the pores to detox or to let in other good stuff in the bath. Use about 64 oz. (2 quarts) of the of 3%  hydrogen peroxide solution in a tub full of warm water. Do not try this before bedtime, because the absorbed oxygen energizes the body and prevents sleep. Soak in the bath for at least 1/2 hour.  All of the best stuff for sickness seems to taste lousy, so I like to soak in it instead.

( I will post on my favorite healing bath combinations at another time.)

Enema: Add 1 tablespoon of 3% H2O2 to a quart of warm distilled water.

Foot Soak
: Soak feet in warm 3% H2O2 for fungus problems or sores.

Mouthwash: Use 3% H2O2. Add a dash of liquid chlorophyll or spearmint oil for flavoring if desired. Use to treat gingivitis and chronic bad breath. After brushing teeth and tongue, swish H2Oin mouth for a couple of minutes and then gargle with it, then spit out and rinse.

Ear wax dissolver/ ear infection cure, as well as helps cure acute sickness that often starts in the ears, if nipped in the bud. Put a cap full in each ear, (one at a time) and lay on the side with it in there until it stops bubbling. 1-10 minutes, depending on the level of infection in there.

Nasal Spray: Mix 1 Tablespoon of 3.5% hydrogen peroxide with 8 oz. (1 Cup) of distilled water. Use 2-3 squirts of nasal spray when you start experiencing congestion..

Shower: Keep a spray bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide in the shower. Spray your body after washing. Avoid the eyes, eyebrows and hair, unless you want a gradual and natural looking bleach.

Toothpaste: Use baking soda and add enough 3% H2O2 to make a paste or dip your brush in 3% H2O2, then dip in baking soda and brush. Hydrogen peroxide dissolves dental plaque, creates healthy gums, whitens teeth and helps eliminate chronic bad breath.

Vaporizor (Cool Mist): Add 12 oz. of 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide or up to 4 oz. of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide to one gallon of water or mix 2 Cups of 3% hydrogen peroxide with 1 gallon of water in a vaporizer. Emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc., usually gets better using a cool mist vaporizer filled with a hydrogen peroxide mixture. Put in essential oils for added benefits!

Warning: Handle with care. It must be food grade for ingesting, and it must be carefully pre-diluted to specific strength, (usually 3%.) as it often comes stronger.  Convert 35% food grade Hydrogen peroxide (or H2O2) into 3% hydrogen peroxide by adding 1 tablespoon of 35% H2O2 to 11 tablespoons of distilled non-chlorinated water (1:11 ratio). To buy online or find out tests to see if  local cheap stuff from Krogers or Big lots might be safe to ingest, go to:http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/hydrogen_peroxide_where_to_buy5.html#USA_74012

  • Dry Magnesium flakes/Magnesium chloride

Magnesium chloride is the most readily absorbed magnesium available. (It is different then Epsom salts, and better in many ways.) There is simply nothing else that so quickly, easily and safely raises magnesium levels in the body.  It is an essential catalyst for many enzyme reactions, especially in regard to cellular energy production, for the health of the brain and nervous system and also for healthy teeth and bones.  It is necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and amino acids.

Too little magnesium can cause muscle cramps, twitches, spasms, restless leg syndrome, constipation and in extreme situations heart attack. Too much calcium (calcium is balanced by magnesium) may result in cellular death and this imbalance may cause: osteoporosis, arthritis, senility, calcification of tissues, bones (spurs) and organs (including kidney, bladder and the joints) and heart disease. There is a body of doctors and researchers that now believe that the way to manage what appears to be a calcium deficiency, but is more often too much unabsorbed calcium, (from processed dairy most likely) is to increase magnesium.
Benefits of Magnesium include:
  • greater energy,
  •  more relaxed muscles
  • better sleep,
  •  improved mental function,
  •  alleviate headaches,
  •  arterial health,
  •  better reproductive function,
  •  and better hormonal balance for men and women
  • full body tonic, increasing energy strength and endurance,
  • removes toxins and heavy metals at a cellular level,
  •  Assists with the rejuvenation of sun damaged skin and sunspots,
  • encourages healthy hair
  •  helps with wrinkle reduction
  • can help to relax and balance the nervous system to counter the stresses of modern life.
  •  improves the immune system
  • improve arthritic joint problems.
  •  It is especially good for low back pain

Trans-dermal (through the skin) Magnesium application is the fastest and most effective form of supplementing magnesium. Magnesium oil, liquid magnesium, and magnesium spray — all names which refer to a concentrated solution of magnesium chloride applied to the skin — are the new darlings of many holistic health professionals. Magnesium oil is a concentrated and nearly saturated solution of magnesium chloride in water. You make it from the flakes. It is called “oil” because of the smooth oily feeling when rubbed onto the skin. Magnesium is easily absorbed through the skin.Normally a good diet should provide all necessary vitamins and minerals. Presently daily supplementation is only indicated because of malabsorption, poor dietary choices, metabolic defects, and specific diseases. Also some drugs, such as diuretic and antibiotics may cause magnesium deficiency. Use when you feel symptoms of a deficiency, or for an acute issue of the muscles, monthly issues for woman, or needing better sleep. When supplementing with magnesium or other vitamins and minerals, the balance with related nutrients, such as calcium and phosphorus, and also the fluid intake, are usually more important than the intake of magnesium or any other single nutrient.

On wounds it was commonly used in a 4% solution that is a level teaspoon in a small glass of water. For general relaxation as well as for back pain and arthritic or muscle pain and stiffness either magnesium chloride or Epsom salts may be used. Both are excellent to soak in a hot bath with the addition of up to 2 cups of magnesium Chloride Flakes to warm bath water, soaking for a minimum of 20 minutes. Also hot magnesium salt packs may be used over stiff or painful muscles and joints. Keep warm for one to two hours with a hot water bottle.
CAUTION: Magnesium supplementation should be avoided with severe kidney problems and also with myasthenia gravis. Be careful with severe adrenal weakness or with low blood pressure. Too much magnesium can cause muscle weakness, if this happens temporarily use more calcium. Signs of excess magnesium can be similar to magnesium deficiency and include changes in mental status, nausea, diarrhea, appetite loss, muscle weakness, difficulty breathing, extremely low blood pressure, and irregular heartbeat.
  • Food grade diatomaceous Earth
As you can see from the picture of Diatomaceous Earth - (magnified 7000 times) - it looks
like a cylinder full of holes - kind of like Rice Chex Cereal. This cylinder has a very strong
negative charge. As these millions of cylinders move through the stomach and digestive
tract, they attract and absorb fungi, protozoa, viruses, endotoxins, pesticides, and drug
residues, E.coli, and heavy metals. These are trapped inside the cylinder and passed out of
the body. In addition, any larger parasites that happen to be in the stomach or digestive tract
are "cut up" and killed by the sharp edges of the Diatomaceous Earth. DE is a natural organic colon cleanser and detoxifier. This cleansing and detoxification alone has a myriad of positive effects in the human body. Some of which include:

  • lower cholesterol
  • Sore joints and ligaments feel better
  • Skin clears up (acne-age spots-psoriasis)
  • Hair and nails are stronger and grow faster
  • Stronger teeth and gums
  • Healthier respiratory tract
  • helps balance hormones
  • Healthier urinary tract
  • lowers Blood Pressure,
  • cures Osteoperosis,
  • helps Weight Loss,
  • increases Energy,
  • kills Bacteria,
  • clears up intestinal Mucus,
  •  Anti-Aging,
  •  Headache.
After only a few months of taking Diatomaceous Earth, the intestine wall is no longer coated with mucus and molds but CLEAN!!

Diatomaceous Earth gets absorbed into the blood stream as silica because it is 89% Silica! Silica is said to be the most important trace element in human health. Silica plays an important role in many bodily functions and has a direct relationship to mineral absorption.

In today's grains, there is actually a shortage of silica. Years ago, the silica found in our food was adequate, but with today's hybrids and depleted soils, only about 1/3 of the silica needed is supplied in our food. Diatomaceous Earth is a simple and inexpensive way to get the silica your body needs.

People usually take 1 teaspoon to 2 Tablespoons of it in food. I prefer to use it in my pancake batter, but a lot of people put it in liquids.  There is no actual flavor or taste to it, and it's like a flour except that it does not dissolve. Some folks experience higher energy levels, so it is probably best not to take just before sleeping. Not to worry about taking too much -  any excess silica not needed by the body is naturally eliminated through the kidneys and intestines. The only cautionary side effect that we have found relating to Food Grade DE has to do with direct inhalation and is essentially the same caution that is advised when handling baby powder. DE is a very fine powder. For more info on it check out:

Notice: As always, this advice is not suppose to replace

the advise of your (ignorant) doctor. . .yada yada yada

P.S Oh, and sorry to say, I am not quite done with this series of my favorite remedies, because I just have a few too many. Up next are Chlorophyll, honey, tea tree oil, and Himalayan salt if you get too impatient for me to spell it all out for you.
